Overview

At Uruma Children Foundation, we believe that language is a key to unlocking new opportunities. Our language programs provide children, youth, and refugees with the skills to communicate effectively in English, French, and Kiswahili, opening doors to education, career opportunities, and community integration.

What We Offer

English Classes:

Our English classes are designed to help participants improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills. As English is a key language for education and career advancement, mastering it opens new opportunities for our students.

French Classes:

We offer French classes to children and youth, especially those coming from regions where French is commonly spoken. Learning French helps students preserve their cultural identity while enhancing their ability to communicate globally.

Kiswahili Classes

As one of the most spoken languages in East Africa, Kiswahili is essential for regional integration and communication. Our Kiswahili classes empower participants to engage with their local communities and enhance their job prospects.

Why Language Skills Matter

Language proficiency is critical for personal and academic success. For many children and refugees, mastering a new language helps break down barriers, builds confidence, and connects them to better educational opportunities and future careers.

Who Can Join?

Our language classes are open to children, youth, and refugees of all ages. We tailor our courses to meet different learning levels, ensuring that each participant gets the attention they need to succeed.

Impact of Our Language Program

Through our language programs, we have helped over 300 children and youth improve their communication skills, opening new doors for education and future employment. By empowering participants with language skills, we’re helping them build brighter futures.
