Overview

At Uruma Children Foundation, our Art & Craft program provides children and youth with a creative outlet to express their emotions, develop skills, and gain confidence. Through various forms of art, participants not only nurture their artistic talents but also create crafts that can be sold to support their education and personal development.

What We Offer

Visual Arts

Children and youth explore various visual art forms such as drawing, painting, and sculpture. These activities allow participants to express themselves creatively, while also developing fine motor skills and artistic techniques.

Handmade Crafts

Our program teaches participants how to create handmade crafts such as jewelry, pottery, and decorative items. These crafts can be sold in local markets, helping to generate income that supports both the participants and the foundation’s educational programs.

Art Therapy

For children and youth who have experienced trauma, art provides a therapeutic outlet. Our art therapy sessions help participants process their emotions in a safe and supportive environment, promoting mental health and emotional healing.

Why Art & Craft?

Art has the power to transform lives. It helps children develop self-expression, improve focus, and build self-esteem. Additionally, the skills learned through crafting can be turned into income-generating opportunities, enabling participants to support themselves and their families.

Who Can Join?

Our Art & Craft program is open to children, youth, and vulnerable individuals, regardless of their artistic background. Whether they’re beginners or experienced artists, we encourage creativity and growth at every level.

Impact of Our Art & Craft Program

Our Art & Craft program has helped over 150 children and youth discover their creative potential. Many of the handmade crafts produced in the program have been sold to fund educational initiatives, while participants have gained confidence and emotional resilience through artistic expression.
