Introduction
The Music, Dance & Drama program at Uruma Children Foundation is more than just a platform for creative expression—it’s a lifeline for many of the children and youth in our care. Through performing arts, participants not only discover their talents but also find healing from past trauma, build self-confidence, and develop valuable life skills.
Healing Through the Arts
For children who have faced hardship, the arts provide a therapeutic outlet. Whether they’re playing an instrument, dancing, or acting, the children in our program are able to express their emotions in a safe, supportive environment. The performing arts have been shown to reduce stress, boost mental health, and promote a sense of belonging.
Building Skills for the Future
Beyond emotional healing, our program helps children develop essential skills like teamwork, discipline, and communication. By working together on performances, participants learn to collaborate, build confidence, and set goals. These are life skills that they’ll carry with them well into the future, both personally and professionally.
Showcasing Talent at the Talent Show
Each year, our Music, Dance & Drama program culminates in the Charity Talent Show, where participants get to showcase their talents to the community. This event is not just about entertainment—it’s about giving children the confidence to shine and feel proud of their achievements.
How You Can Help
